Live United Celebration Rescheduled for June 3
(Blackhawk Region) – As the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, United Way believes it is important to stay flexible and responsive to changes in this dynamic environment.
“We feel a responsibility to take extra precautions to minimize the virus spreading unintentionally to communities and vulnerable populations,” said United Way Blackhawk Region President & CEO Mary Fanning-Penny. “So, out of an abundance of caution, we are postponing the LIVE UNITED Celebration scheduled March 31st.”
United Way is doing our part to make sure our community is as safe and healthy as it can possibly be. We apologize for any inconvenience this may pose for our loyal supporters, and appreciate the community’s understanding.
The event is tentatively rescheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2020 and United Way will further communicate details as they develop. United Way Blackhawk Region will continue to refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state and local health officials for guidance moving forward.
