FACE – Kids is a collaborative program that provides psycho-educational groups to school aged youth. Children are identified by school personnel as being at risk due to mental health concerns, impact from violence or social skills deficits are referred to FACE-Kids Groups. Groups last 4-6 weeks. Priority for service is given to middle school youth and their families who are experiencing life crisis or difficulty functioning due to mental health issues or mental illness; being affected in some way by violence and/or abuse; and the need for social skills training.
Recreation for Adults with Disabilities program provides group social, leisure, and recreational opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Events are designed to increase social integration of participants. Large recreation activities includes: dances, bowling, talent shows, and bingo. Small recreation activities include Zumba, arts and crafts, area plays and musicals, Men’s Group, Women’s Group, and volunteering. Trained volunteers actively plan and supervise the activities.
