United Way Blackhawk Region Annual Events
Live United Celebration - March
Every March, United Way Blackhawk Region invites corporate partners, donors, UWBR Funded Program Partners, and advocates to the Live United Celebration. During this event, we honor award-winning campaigns, the Volunteer of the Year, Excellence in Advocacy Award winner, and present the prestigious Live United Award. To read a complete year-in-review, read the most recent annual report.
To add a fun element to this event, you will typically see us incorporating a theme. Some past themes include: superheroes, secret agents, and The Tonight Show Starring United Way. We look forward to what the celebration in 2020 will bring!
Day of Caring - September
Day of Caring brings together hundreds of volunteers who complete half or full day projects at local non-profit organizations. Non-profits who submit projects do not need to be UWBR Funded Program Partners to participate; it is open to any local nonprofit agency, service club, public school, and service organization in Rock County, WI and northern Winnebago County, IL. Once non-profits register, we assign volunteer teams to these projects which couldn’t otherwise have been completed due to the non-profit’s lack of manpower or financial barriers. In 2018, 916 volunteers from 34 local companies completed 117 service projects at 44 agencies! Find more information on our Day of Caring page.
Leadership Circle Reception - December
The Leadership Circle Reception is an event typically hosted each December for Leadership Level Donors (those who donate $600 or more annually). This is an opportunity for donors to meet one another and to show our appreciation for their generosity.
