Day of Caring Volunteer Registration is Now Closed
August 1, 2019 was the deadline for Day of Caring volunteer team registration. Late entries or requests to add teams at this point, will not be accommodated.
We appreciate the tremendous interest in this annual community-wide event. United Way is committed to ensuring a meaningful Day of Caring experience for both the volunteer teams, as well as the project host sites. To that end, we must coordinate the team and project assignments responsibly.
After we are able to assess the number of volunteers registered as compared to the numbers of volunteers requested for each project, further action may be taken to limit or reduce the amount of volunteers. We will give priority to our valuable corporate partners who conduct United Way workplace campaigns. If need be, we may also reduce the number of volunteers from the organizations that traditionally send the most folks.
As always, the assignment of volunteer teams is dependent upon the needs and requests of the local nonprofits hosting Day of Caring projects. We will not consider special requests for project placement unless an extenuating circumstance is presented.
Thank you for your cooperation.
